Giveaways

Off by default

Run giveaways with a button to enter, role and level requirements, bonus entries and up to 50 winners. Schedule them from the dashboard.

Set it up

Open the dashboard and pick your server. Sign in with Discord if you haven’t.
Find Giveaways in the sidebar (or press ⌘K and type its name) and turn it on.
Go through the settings below. Simple mode shows the essentials; switch to Advanced for the rest.
Try it in Discord: /giveaway. Staff can restrict or turn off each command in Commands.

Settings

What you’ll find on the Giveaways page of the dashboard. Settings marked Advanced only show in Advanced mode.

General

Default channel: ChannelWhere giveaways go when no channel is picked. Empty uses the current channel.
Giveaway editors: RolesMembers with these roles can start, end, reroll and cancel giveaways.

What Kovu posts and sends when a giveaway ends.

Options

start duration: How long it runs, like 1h, 3d or 2w (up to a year)
start winners: Number of winners
start prize: What the winners get
start channel (optional): Where to post it (default: this channel)
start description (optional): More about the prize
start image (optional): An image of the prize
start host (optional): Who is giving it away (default: you)
start required_role (optional): Members need this role to enter
start blocked_role (optional): Members with this role can’t enter
start account_age (optional): Minimum account age, like 30d
start server_age (optional): Minimum time in this server, like 7d
start min_level (optional): Minimum level (needs the Levels module)
start bonus_role (optional): Members with this role get extra entries
start bonus_entries (optional): Extra entries for the bonus role (default 1)
start max_entries (optional): Most entries one member can have
start daily_bonus (optional): Entrants earn a bonus entry each day they press Enter again
start referrals (optional): Entrants earn a bonus entry for each member they invite
start ping (optional): Who to ping when it starts
start ping_role (optional): A role to ping when it starts
start winner_role (optional): Give winners this role
start dm_winners (optional): DM the winners (default: yes)
start hide_requirements (optional): Don’t list requirements; members find out privately when they enter
end giveaway: Giveaway number, message ID or link
reroll giveaway: Giveaway number, message ID or link
reroll winners (optional): How many new winners (default 1)
cancel giveaway: Giveaway number, message ID or link
