Appeals
Off by default
Banned members appeal on kovu.gg; staff approve or reject from Discord or the dashboard.
Set it up
Open the dashboard and pick your server. Sign in with Discord if you haven’t.
Find Appeals in the sidebar (or press ⌘K and type its name) and turn it on.
Go through the settings below. Simple mode shows the essentials; switch to Advanced for the rest.
Try it in Discord:
/appeals. Staff can restrict or turn off each command in Commands.

What you’ll find on the Appeals page of the dashboard. Settings marked Advanced only show in Advanced mode.
Review
- Appeal channel
- ChannelNew appeals are posted here with Approve, Reject and Ask buttons. Without one, they only show in the dashboard.

- RolesMembers with these roles can decide on appeals. Moderators always can. Approving unbans the member.

Who can appeal and when
- Wait before the first appeal
- DurationHow long after the ban before the member can appeal. 0 lets them appeal at once.
- Wait after a rejection
- DurationHow long after a rejection before they can appeal again.

- Number0 means no limit.
- Bans made outside KovuAdvanced
- On/offAccept appeals for bans without a Kovu case (made in Discord or by another bot). Share kovu.gg/appeal/<server id> with those members.
After a decision
- Give an invite when approved
- On/offKovu makes a one-use invite, valid for 7 days, and shows it to the member on their appeal page.

- On/offBanned members often share no server with Kovu, so the DM can fail. The appeal page always shows it.
