Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms cover the Kovu Discord bot, any custom bot Kovu runs on your behalf, and the website at kovu.gg (together, “Kovu”). By adding Kovu to a server, using its commands or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to them. If you use Kovu for a community, you confirm you’re allowed to configure it for that server.

2. Eligibility and Discord’s rules

You must meet Discord’s minimum age for your country and follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Kovu is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Discord Inc.

3. Pricing

Kovu is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we’ll give reasonable advance notice before the change takes effect, and we won’t retroactively charge for any use of Kovu during the free period.

To keep the service healthy for everyone, Kovu applies anti-abuse limits (for example, the number of custom commands per server). Those limits apply equally to every server.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Kovu to:

• harass, threaten, dox or spam people, or run raids against other servers;
• send content that is illegal, sexualises minors, or promotes violence or self-harm;
• collect other users’ data beyond what Discord allows, or evade bans or moderation;
• attack, overload, reverse engineer or probe Kovu or its infrastructure;
• impersonate Kovu, Discord or any other person or organisation with a custom bot.

We may limit, suspend or remove Kovu from servers, or block accounts, that break these rules or put other users at risk.

5. Your content and settings

You keep ownership of what you put into Kovu: custom commands, messages, embeds, images and settings. You give us permission to store and process that content only to run Kovu for your server. You’re responsible for what your server’s custom commands, messages and bots say.

6. Custom bots

If you give Kovu a bot token for your own Discord application, you confirm you own that application. We store the token encrypted, use it only to run Kovu’s features for your servers, and never show it again. You can remove it at any time from the dashboard; reset the token in the Discord developer portal if you think it was exposed.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Kovu running, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be removed, and Discord outages or API changes can affect Kovu. We’ll post notable changes to the updates channel you pick in Bot Settings.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Kovu and its maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, members or messages, arising from your use of Kovu. Moderation tools act on your configuration, so review automod rules and punishments before you enable them.

9. Ending use

You can stop using Kovu at any time by removing it from your server and signing out. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

10. Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Kovu means you accept the update. Questions? Email support@kovu.gg.
